Another strictly aesthetic change for me was to have the rocker covers powder coated to match the rest of the engine block. Surprise surprise, Kinetic Motorcycles coming through big here yet again! The process to have them powder coated was extremely straightforward and easy. Take them off, package them up, make the order on their website and send them off. They handle the rest and ship them back to you in just a few days!
As for removal and installation its only 4 bolts on each rocker cover. Loosen and remove those bolts and GENTLY remove the covers. The rear cylinder has a wire running through the center of the rocker cover but thats simple to disconnect from the harness and remove. The rest is just gently moving the rocker covers around to clear the wiring and fuel lines/ignition wires. I did have all of mine disconnected because the tank is currently off the bike, but even if they weren't disconnected the process is still doable and quite easy.
